Our Story Hope for Future |

| Rick and I were an average young family: happily married with children, good
jobs, a nice home. Life was good. We didn’t see any harm in smoking a little
pot, we weren’t hurting anyone. Then one day we were introduced to a drug
called “meth” (methamphetamine) and our 5-year nightmare began. It was fun
for a very short time but, then our life became consumed with drugs: getting
it, selling it, neglecting our children, fighting, lying, crime, jail, a
home lost, bankruptcy, no business and a reputation ruined, no car, no
money, a destroyed marriage and family, homeless. We had lost everything. I
was angry and bitter and finally left Rick and went to my parents in
Nebraska. A Christian family took a chance offering Rick shelter in their
home. Separately, we both began seeking God - and there we found Jesus. We asked the Lord Jesus to come and help us, take control of our lives, live in our hearts. We had no idea that we had found the ultimate answer to totally turn our lives around! We found a life that we did not expect. Miracles! A life better than we had ever hoped or dreamed we could have. We were rejoined as a family and submitted our marriage to Jesus, allowing the Holy Spirit to heal us. Rick experienced deliverance from drugs without treatment or withdrawals. I submitted my marriage and broken heart to the Lord. I found a new love for my husband. Our recovery is a daily process that needs love, acceptance, and forgiveness, encouragement and support from people/the body of Christ. We have experienced the power of God in our lives and have committed ourselves to serving God by helping others find a way out through Jesus Christ. We started the Most Excellent Way to provide a meeting where people that are struggling with life issues can come and find hope and encouragement. What a privilege it is to be involved in a ministry that gives people hope for their future. -
